Empowering Through Communication
Meet Rebecca Thomas
Personal empowerment starts with communication – because your words carry your power.”
When I came to this country at age seven, English wasn’t my first language, and expressing myself felt like an uphill battle. So I turned to the only thing that made sense: books. I devoured them!
Storybooks didn’t just teach me English. They showed me how to organize my thoughts, expand my vocabulary, and build confidence.
Now, years later, I help my clients do the same – especially the kids who’ve been told they’re “behind,” “too quiet,” or “just not trying hard enough.” I know what it’s like when words don’t come easily, and I meet every student with the patience and tools I once needed myself.
This isn’t just a profession, it’s personal. And I’m here to help you or your child discover the power of clear, confident communication.
Whether you’re navigating a learning difference, recovering from a stroke, or helping your child find their voice, I’m here to offer evidence-based support with compassion, structure, and a deep belief in what’s possible.
Personalized and Compassionate Therapy
My Mission
No one should be held back just because they struggle to find or understand the right words. This goes beyond academic struggles – it becomes emotional.
Kids stop raising their hands in class.
Adults avoid speaking up in meetings.
Parents feel helpless watching their child fall behind.
That’s why I do this work.
- Therapy that’s personalized
- Strategies that build confidence, not just skills
- Progress that shows up in the classroom, the workplace, and everyday life
Because when someone learns to read, write, and speak with clarity, they gain more than communication.
They gain access to the life they deserve.
Dedication to Excellence in Therapy Services
Commitment to Quality
Every session I offer is informed by years of clinical training and hands-on experience. I draw from evidence-based approaches, like the Orton-Gillingham method to create therapy that actually helps.
Whether we’re working on reading fluency, sentence writing, or expressing thoughts clearly, I’ll make sure you know why we’re doing something and how it helps. My goal is always clear: progress that lasts.
In instances where insurance is not an option, I do provide a Superbill for clients who wish to seek reimbursement. Many families are able to receive partial- or even full-coverage depending on their plan.

Personal Interests and Hobbies
When I'm Not Working...
Outside my professional life, I enjoy:
Books were my first love. Growing up, I devoured everything from Greek myths to Reader’s Digest. Those stories shaped how I see the world and helped build my vocabulary.
Cooking is my creative outlet. I love experimenting with dishes from different cultures! It’s how I relax and explore new experiences outside of work.
Nature is my reset button. Especially when the sky is shifting colors and I’m surrounded by trees. That’s where I feel grounded.
